Sum the Contents of Rows and Columns

Click the cell  where you want the sum to appear. Click the Layout tab under Table Tools. Click the Formula button. If the selected cell is at the bottom of a column of numbers, the formula is '=SUM(ABOVE)' If the selected cell is at the right end of a row of numbers, the formula is '=SUM(LEFT)'
