Subject: Re: Creating Excel Spreadsheets - Alternatives to OLE? Like others have mentioned on the list, I highly recommend you take a look at Formula1 (v3 shipped with Delphi3, look on the activex tab, v6 is most recent). I have built a system that creates executive summary reports from a database, with the requirement that the final reports be published to the company lan in Excel. I initially used Excel as you have, but found it was extremely slow (never ran out of memory though). In fact, one large spreadsheet took over 40 minutes to create in Excel, and takes less than 2 minutes with Formula1. I don't know of any native spreadsheets for delphi, but you should be able to use any activex components after importing it into Delphi. good luck, Bob M..
